Frequently asked questions
Before you start
How long does it take to set up measurement?
Basic measurement, such as tracking calls, messages and forms, is usually set up within a few days.
A full system that brings every channel into one report takes a little longer. The data becomes useful after a few weeks, once enough of it has built up to show trends. From then on, every decision about budget, channels or messaging is based on what actually happened rather than on a hunch.
The basics
What is Google Analytics 4?
Google's tool for measuring traffic on your site: where visitors come from and what they do.It's built on events, such as a click, a form submission or a purchase.
Ask us about thisWhat is a pixel?
A small piece of code on your site that tells an ad platform what happened after the click, such as a lead or a purchase. It helps the platform learn who to show your ads to.
Ask us about thisWhat is a conversion?
An action that matters to the business, like a form, a call, a WhatsApp message or a purchase. It's defined so you know how many of those each channel brought.
Ask us about thisWhat's the difference between Google Analytics and Search Console?
Analytics shows what happens on your site.Search Console shows how the site appears on Google: for which searches, how often and in what position.
Ask us about thisSetting it up
What should I measure first?
The leads themselves: forms, calls and WhatsApp messages.Without that, there's no way to know which channel really brings customers.
Ask us about thisWhat is Google Tag Manager?
A tool for managing your site's tracking code from one place. It lets you add and change tracking without touching the site's code each time.
Ask us about thisWhat is a UTM?
A tag added to a link's address that marks where the visitor came from, such as a newsletter or a specific post. That way traffic from each source shows up separately in reports.
Ask us about thisHow do I measure WhatsApp leads?
Track clicks on the WhatsApp button on your site, and use a pre-filled message or a tagged link for each channel. That way every chat gets a source.
Ask us about thisCommon problems
Why don't the numbers in Analytics and Meta match?
Each tool counts differently: at a different time, in a different window and with different attribution rules. So you pick one source of truth, and look at trends, not only exact numbers.
Ask us about thisData dropped or disappeared suddenly.
What should I check?
First, whether the tracking code is still on the site and working, especially after a site change. Then whether settings, filters or cookie consent changed.
Ask us about thisConversions are counted twice.
Why?
Usually the same code is installed twice, or the same action is set up in two tools. We check the setup and keep a single count.
Ask us about thisWhy do I see so much direct traffic?
Direct traffic also includes untagged links from apps, emails and WhatsApp.Tagging links with UTMs shrinks that share.
Ask us about thisUsing the data
Which numbers should I check every month?
Leads by source, cost per lead by channel, and the pages that bring leads.A few clear numbers beat a long report.
Ask us about thisWhat is a dashboard?
One screen that brings together the key numbers from every tool. You see the full picture without opening five systems.
Ask us about thisWhat is an A/B test?
Showing two versions, such as a headline or a button, to different groups, and checking which brings more leads. You improve by data, not by gut feeling.
Ask us about thisHow does measurement help save budget?
When you see which channel brings customers and at what cost, you can move budget from what doesn't work to what does.
Ask us about thisEvery lead has a source.
And you know what each one cost.
